A Path to Success
We are proud to say that our physics graduates take on a wide variety of positions after completing our program. Many have earned Ph.D.s at prominent graduate schools including Caltech, Stanford and Cornell University, as well as University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Minnesota. Some have won prestigious Goldwater Scholarships and national fellowships from the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy.
Our graduates are working in engineering firms and high-tech industry companies such as 3M, Medtronic, Lockheed-Martin, Honeywell, Seagate Technology, Boston Scientific, MA Mortenson, and Google; and government agencies including the US Air Force, US EPA, and MN Dept of Transporatation. Some work as teachers at the elementary, high school and college levels, while others are doctors, medical physicists and attorneys. Our physics program will prepare you well for many careers.
